Transformative Fundraising

At CIMH, we are committed to building resources for our work that align with our values and vision. We ground ourselves in a belief in abundance, and a recognition that so much of what we need to survive and thrive in this moment—we have within us and our communities. We are what we need.

Our goal is to be a strong, growing, and sustainable organization that is able to expand programming in the coming years to me the needs of all immigrant and refugee communities in the Chicagoland area. This includes: 1) allowing us to make programs and trainings accessible to directly impacted community members and community leaders; and 2) growing our capacity to go beyond the traditional–to take risks, experiment, and innovate.

We understand that in order to meet this political moment and make impactful contributions, we need to sustainably grow our resources. You can become a part of our community of care in several ways:

  1. If you are a foundation or funding organization, please reach out to learn more about our work and our plans for the future. You can contact our Executive Director, Cindy Eigler, at cindy@ourcimh.org.

  2. If you are a current funder, you can make connections to other local and national foundations or consider holding a session on why funding work around the intersection of immigration and mental health is so important.

  3. Give the gift of sustainability by becoming a monthly donor.

  4. Participate in our fundraising campaigns by giving a one-time donation and by sharing our work with your friends and networks.

  5. A part of our commitment to transformative fundraising, we highly value contributions outside of monetary support. Whether your gifts be creating art, storytelling, cooking, political education, interpretation, childcare, etc…they are all appreciated and welcomed.

It is normal to feel like we can never give enough. Please join us in our transformative fundraising work focused on what we do have to offer and how, together, the possibilities are endless.

A huge thank you to our past and current funders:
