The Caregiver Guide to Talking to Children about Immigration Enforcement (trifold in English & Español) was created by the Immigrant Family Mental Health Advocacy (IFMHA) Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Department of Psychiatry, within the Institute for Juvenile Research. The IFMHA Program team that co-developed this resource:

Developed by CIMH and Lurie Children’s Hospital’s Center for Childhood Resilience, this updated resource packet offers critical support for immigrant, refugee, migrant, asylum-seeking, and other newly arriving families during a time of heightened uncertainty.

The packet includes information on available benefits regardless of immigration status, strategies for professionals working with immigrant youth, guidance for parents and caregivers, and key crisis resources.
